Journeyed , and unity , the worst customer experience ever.

I would have to say in all my experience with by software online this has been the worst experience ever and unity should reconsider having journeyed has their education license provider. I have had a order placed for almost a month now and have no idea of when I will get my product. I have been very patient and even unlike the common consumer follow the path of escalation to no resolve. I have talked to at least 3 agents , 3 supervisor , and a unhelpful manager. The first time I contact them the order was updated from shipping to backorder with no eta. I figure fine , things happen. two weeks later no update. I then contact journey ed again asking about the status still no eta , the agents says he will have the shipping department contact me within 24-48 hours. two days go by no response, I call again and request a supervisor who tell me the account had a billing issue , which just pisses me off as the payment was deducted weeks ago, who then corrects her self , who promises a call within 48 hours , again no response. I call back again and at this point I am very irate , I ask to be transfer to a supervisor , who i then request to speak to a manager. the supervisor puts me on hold for 20 min ,and never comes back , I have to end the call because my lunch break is over. I call back in today and finally get a manager who is very unhelp , and unable to provide any info , or ownership of the issue.

I really hope someone from unity sees this , and really looks into having another provider for your educational license , or at least looks into how journeyed is teaching you customers. If not your educational license program will greatly suffer.

Yes, That is what I do on them. I actually have no talkign with them. They do not talk on the phone, there is no way to content them really. You can do a message and they do not message you. I move to Visual3d.NET and the support there is amazing. The Engine is not develop though the people talk to you on email etc… Unity 3d I do not like that great. To make something is hard and you need a lot of programmers to work with it.

Here, a lot == one. I don’t know who you’ve been working with, but I feel sorry for you. And it’s not a problem with Unity, it’s their ‘educational reseller’, journeyed.

Actually, just send an email to sales here at Unity with all your journey ed reference numbers to have them help track it down, you already have the software you are simply waiting on the key to activate the pro features as an educational installation.

I had an issue with JourneyEd when I got Adobe Design Premium CS5. I was to get $50 off my purchase when I bought Corel Painter 11 with my adobe software. The version of Painter 11 was only $49.95 and I called and their customer support and they said its $50 off that(which is what I understood it to be), so I thought for free why not tack it on to my purchase? Placed my order and never saw the $50. I contacted them to get the discount and they argued that the version I bought already had a $50 discount although no where on the site did it tell me that. I even sent them copies of the pages I was viewing. It became so much hassle that I dropped it as the $50 was worth forgetting about the headache.

At least Adobe honed my purchase and gave me a complementary upgrade to CS5.5 because I bought it just before they announced it.

yeah I contacted sales earlier , cause if I talk to someone at Journeyed ever again , Hulk go smash.

I have only purchased one thing from JourneyEd, and that was a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate… Never again… I agree with you entirely on every point. Worst customer service ever and it took over a month to get my item with no idea if I was ever even going to get it.

Finally someone contact me today and said that I should recieve my license today , we shall see. I told em they have the next 5 hour or else I am done with this rat race.

Paying 1500 dollars and all you receive is ignorance? Oh no thats bad, thats very bad UT.

No, the educational version is only $99, but you can’t make any commercial games with it, only personal games with all the pro features.

unity pro it self is 99 , but their our other bundles as well that cost more.

We read this and are really sad to hear this! We’re looking into our collaboration with JourneyEd and trying to find out what we should do.

Please also reach out to sales@unity3d.com with your problems so that we can look into your specific case.
