Jump implementation in multi level platforms game

I have this kind of level design and I want to give a jump to my player character.

My player at present can able to take the jump but it gets collide with the above-placed platform and directly moves back. Because of this it can’t able to take enough jump and it directly falls back.

How to deal with multi-level platforms in a platformer game? so that player can ignore the above platform during jump time
As like in the above image, the player character is above the upside platform.
