I used the camera relative control prefab and get the movement I want. I also mapped the "Double-tap right joystick" to a button. But the jumping isn't how I want it. I want to have a short quick jump when the button is tapped and a longer higher jump when the button is held.
I would recommend looking at the 3D platformer tutorial, since it explicitly covers how to do what you are describing.
