Hey all, last week at school, i decided to make a simple zombie shooter just to kill my time.
I cant make any video recording, since my PC isnt for development neither it is for gaming, so thats a lack of art, cant even judge my own game like this. Anyways, posted a few screenshots here just to show some basic elements of a zombie shooter. So far theres almost no art in this, but I will head into blender the next day and make a simple level to play in, also i do have only 2 fully functional weapons, but there are more to come of course .
Controls
F is the USE button
WASD or Arrows
LMB to shoot
RMB to aim down sigths
5 to Drop package
R to reload weapon
F1 for ingame menu ( not ESC )
Play The Game
Features
Press USE ( F key ) to either buy a new weapon or to access the vending machine, at the vending machine you can buy refils or some barrels and crates. Upgrading a weapon is self explanatory, but upgrading the weapon after the second gun is possible ( but havent tried myself ), but more guns to come, so yah…
The zombies health is added by the amount of the round, so every second a zombies health is added by 7 if you’re on round 7, each round increases the amount of zombies with a special formula ( not fibonacci )
If your health falls below 0, you lay on the floor, but since its singleplayer, no one is there to rescue you. But hold on, once i get the basis of singleplayer mode, multiplayer will get into progress.
If you walk away from base further enough, you will be asked to come back in range ( like in Battlefield games ). And when you die, a special sort of screen effect is done there
Pressing 5 allows you to drop an ammo box, which adds 10 bullets every second, and destroys it self after being used 10 times. In multiplayer there will be healthboxes too. But every 2 minutes the amount of packages you can drop is added.
Future
Add more art, more guns, more maps to play on.
Multiplayer mode that allows up to 4 players.
Basic revival system and cash sharing system.
Basic shop system based on the amount cash earned per game
Dynamic and modifiable maps and props
Multiplayer classes ( Engineer, Medic, Scout, Soldier)
