Just Installed Unity 5.34f for Windows 10. My screen is blank, how to solve this?

I created a new project. But there’s no Windows, no Inspector window, no Project Window, nothing. It’s just blank. I Try to get them to come up by selecting in the Windows menu but nothing comes up. At times i managed to painstakingly make a window appear by repeatedly clicking on the White( yeah white, it used to be gray in past version Unity 3, etc. anyway to change it to gray?) empty space…
and then one of the windows might come. but if i select layout default…then everything goes blank again.

Also i tried going to the menu and choosing Editmenu/ preferences, or Filemenu/Buildsettings. Those just pop up a black window.

what’s going on, is Windows 10 not supported?
PS I did not install this thing called Visual Studio because it gave me an error something about NETframework and i just ignored it, but Unity did install so i thought it would work. And is that Visual Studio necessary to run Unity?

PS Another thing is I don’t have all the latest Windows updates because before i tried installing updates and it messed up my whole computer so i deleted the updates and went back to what i have now and turned off automatic updates. The version i’m on is Windows 10 Version 1511(OS Build 10586.36). For me this is the best as i don’t have any problems. Everything works pretty well and i hear and know from having tried to install updates that many updates are giving many people many problems .

Anyway what’s going on? Is the reason my Unity 5.3.4f not working on Windows 10 that i don’t have the latest updates or that i don’t have Visual Studio installed?

Unity 5.3 works just fine on Windows 10 for me. The fact that you describe you’ve already had a failed install makes me think it’s very likely that you have a partially corrupt OS, missing some required libraries, or have out-of-date drivers.
Update your OS and your graphics drivers. Reinstall Unity. If a problem persists, file a bug report (not here!): Unity QA - Bug Reporting - Unity

I’m late telling you this but i fixed it all just by resetting my Windows 10. It was tedious because i had to backup all my stuff to an external drive, and then when the process ended had to put it back again. But anyways that fixed it. now it works
