I just got one of the new Intel based Mac’s and loaded the new version of Unity on it. When I’m moving objects around in the Scene View the program lags so bad it’s almost unusable. Even the Car demos that are included are terribly choppy.
However, when I build and run that scene it runs fantastic!
I’m just trying to clarify this. So this new verion of Unity can build games for the new Intel Macs… it’s just that Unity itself isn’t built specifically for the Intel Macs yet??? If that is the case I am assuming my performance issue will clear up in a later release of Unity?
It’s either that or I have some setting terribly wrong on my Mac. My old G5 ran the same projects in the Scene View without any problems.
Any input is greatly appreciated. I can’t wait till I’m more familiar with everything and can stop asking annoying questions. :?
