I’m wondering if it would be a good idea for Unity to add File|Close Project and File|Close Scene option to the menu. I kinda like my working area to be cleaned when I finish with my project.
What do you guys think?
Thank you.

File — New Scene = Close Scene.
Shutdown the Unity = Close Project ![]()
I have added a feature request to bring the project open / close behaviour in line with conventional applications: Startup options: empty project or autoload most recent
Please support if you like it.
No. Shut down unity and the project is still open. For example if you close unity and then import project you want to look at, it will open your last project by default and jack a bunch of your settings trying to “merge” the new project. It sucks. I have done it and spent hours fixing terrain files.
Unity needs Close Scene and Close Project.
Enable ‘Always Show Project Wizard’ and it will never start straight into a project.
