Kaldera Prefab Painter 1.5.0 [Released]

We’re happy to announce another Prefab Painter to the market. Kaldera Prefab Painter focuses on simplicity and tries to help developers lay out their scenes as easily as possible.

The tool was originally made for our projects and has since expanded both based on our own feedback and later from that of the community. Comes with a whole batch of tools and options out of the box.

We also made a slimmed-down, free version, for those who want to test it out.

The editor is based around a Palette Window with all brushes, tools, and options available. It gives an excellent overview of what prefabs you have. It’s heavily inspired but Map editors from games 20 years ago, and are hoping to bring the same kind of simplicity and creativity to modern Unity game development.

Below you can see a quick sample of the brushes currently available.

Our latest addition is the possibility to paint in what we refer to as “viewport mode”. It’s hard to explain exactly what it does so let us show you with a video instead.

Hope you like it. We are very open to community feedback and suggestions and usually release a steady stream of updates and bug fixes.
