Kanye West on In-App Purchases

That’s funny. Anyway one day he will work out how to enable parental controls. Possibly, his children will teach him.

This is Kayne we’re talking about…

Totally agree. I’ve blocked in ap purchases across all of my devices. So there is no risk of the kids running up a credit card bill. But it still is irritating when they come to you every five minutes to find the obscure x to clear an ad, or to get them back to the game after they have accidentally been redirected to a web page.

The point of kids apps is to keep them quiet and distracted and away from me. If an app can’t do that, it gets deleted.

Before anyone comments keeping my kids quiet and distracted and away from me does not sum up my normal parenting strategy. I limit my kids time on devices and take them out to the park and all of that stuff.

Yeah because he doesnt have 2 bucks to spare…

It’s not really about who he is (financially) but a general parental anger at having paid products constantly pushed at the kids. I mean, if anything we should be giving Kanye the thumbs up. Because any message from a popular source with great reach like this is a general positive thing.

Hopefully the kids didn’t spend too much on https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/kim-kardashian-hollywood/id860822992?mt=8

It’s hardly two bucks. Most kids aps with this problem can skim you for much more. It’s not uncommon to hear of kids running up hundreds in IAP if parents don’t turn it off. Kids are expensive enough as it is.

Attempting to get money out of parents by marketing to young children is just straight out sleazy.

I don’t know, if this is the same Kanye who wants to run for president in 2020 or 2021 or whatever it is, chances are he’s complaining more because he doesn’t like the fact of IAP’s for him-self personally, you really think he cares for others? No, he cares for him self and doing just like Obama does, uses a situation to politicize it.

Granted - I do my self hate F2P and IAP’s, because I think it’s ruined the market to actually make legit money on a game you buy one time and never have to pay for anything else for it.

I would gladly rather spend 2.99 on a small BS game rather than get a F2P and play it for 5 minutes and demand 10.99 to get to the next level.

So in a way yeah Kanye is correct, however, he’s more so directing towards his anger about the situation because he also hates the fact that if he wants to get to the next level, 10.99 is required lol.

So, yeah he’s correct, but he doesn’t have to lie and say anything about children, because any game should be the same way, doesn’t matter for it’s a E or an M rated game, the truth is, we all hate the freaking pay me 10.99 to get the next set of levels lol.

I mean I understand ads, it makes total sense for the use of ads if your game is free, gotta make some kinda money some how. But IAP’s for the next set of levels or something that would take 1 month of playing 8 hours a day just to get or pay me 20.99 to get it now is just wrong, I couldn’t ever stoop to that level to rip people off that much.

But apparently people do pay for that kind of thing, I just don’t get why, or why they would even let somebody manipulate them into spending your money like that.
Makes me wonder if I should join the crowd where it’s working, but then I remember what Arnold Schwarzenegger said.

Which makes total sense if you want to stand out from the rest.

This clown is married to a fatassed broad who is famous for having a fat ass. He has a fat head because of it. I quit a job as CTO this month because they were gonna make me work on a Kim Kardashian app. I can’t stand celebrities. A bunch of tight faced, lip yard, el monstruo lamestream media decorations meant to make you “look over there” in mesmerized dislocation whilst the brutal clownage pulls off it’s next brutality hoping not to be noticed. People that have talent and worked hard I can respect. Working on a Floyd Mayweather brawler did not bother me. He is a boxer who is a celebrity because of boxing…not because he is a celebrity and famous because he is a celebrity. And that Jenner clown…ferfuxaches gimme a frikkin’ break… the whole family is a mess I don’t want to be anywhere near. And he is worried about in-app purchases???

No matter what you think about West/Kardashian (or other celebrities.) ,in apps for 2 years old children does not make sense. Even ‘clowns’ (especially if they are parents) have the right to find some silly things.

Good night.
BTW, I like the ass of KK. You can comfort (in your dream?!) yourself with the flat thing of the Victoria Secret Angels.

I honestly thank it’s way to big, could imagine how much (yuck - you know) she didn’t get off when she was done. Anywho just had to say that lol.

I like good looking country girls in blue jeans, natural long hair and a tight tshirt with a down to earth sensibility thanks (read no bogus ego trips). I was in Vegas recently and did not see one good looking woman to my tastes. Maybe if they removed the mask the media teaches them to wear they would let their natural beauty flow. Enjoy your journey through the Matrix. Thanks for helping me derail this thread BTW:)

One time purchases are not that bad, consumables are what I have issues with (I’m not a parent though ) say the maximum amount someone could spend in the game is like $15 is that really that bad? Monetizing with ads makes more sense anyway.

Thank you for your correct words about celebrities, and those named ones in particular.

Says the Kayne guy peddling offensive music and offensive behavior to the children of other parents of the world at premium prices.

Well I guess I’m lucky I’ve not a clue as to any of their music, clothing lines, perfumes, (his) probation terms, and so on, but I have seen their names before and it’s almost always invariably something they say that makes them look like hypocrites. Well, the Kayne person at least. J-Lo I though was famous for a couple of hit singles a long time ago and being married to that Aflac guy.

Thank you for your continued efforts to derail this thread:)

I can’t believe people are complaining about IAPs because they don’t want to entertain their children. No wonder the moral fiber of humanity continues to diminish…

“If a game is made for a 2 year old, just allow them to have fun and give the parents a break for Christ sake.”

This fucktard is letting his 2 year old play games already? This guy and his wife are fucked up on so many levels… an onion of mental derangement. Every week I learn something more despicable about these “humans.”

Can we just forget who said it and focus in on the actual content. If you take out the cussing it could have been something I said. Let’s get back to discussing monetising strategies for aps aimed at kids.
