Keyboard and mouse not working properly (in webplayer)

From the Live Demos, Tropical Paradise works just fine: I can move with WASD, look around with mouse and jump with Space. But when I try the Bootcamp demo, I can’t do any of those. All I can do is use the mouse buttons, left to shoot and right to zoom.
Another example. Cubelands (a Unity engine game, of course) doesn’t let me move, look around or jump. However, the keyboard works just fine when I chat (Enter) with other players.

What do you reckon, what could be the problem?

I have the same problem on my iMac 21 snowleopard 10.6.4 but only with “changing weapon” keys (1 2) => nothing happens.
