(Kickstarter) Eon Altar, a Tabletop Videogame for 2-5 Players

Hi Unity Community! We’ve just launched a new Kickstarter for a Unity-based project we’re very excited about.

Eon Altar is a Tabletop Videogame for Tablets and Handsets that you play around a table, face-to-face like we used to play boardgames and tabletop RPGs! In these modern days we’re tired of ‘social’ games meaning you’re playing with people miles away. We want to bring people back together! Flying Helmet Games is based in Vancouver, Canada, with a team with industry vets from BioWare, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft. Check it out, and if you like what you see please support and share!

I like the concept, but what if we dont have a table top and 3 others friends with us, can we play online?

Good question! We’re currently focusing on local play for a minimum of 2 players, but we are looking into options for remote, online play. If we’re able to hit our stretch goals, this is one of the first feature requests we’ll be working towards.

The shared ‘table top’ is supported on most newer iOS, Android, and Windows 8 tablets/PCs, but we have not ruled out smartphone support at this point.

Thanks for your interest, and check back with our Kickstarter page for updates.

neat idea, but that goal is massive. I can’t see that happening, but good luck.

This looks rather slick, where all have you guys tried to promote it at? Right now on Kicktraq it’s only trending towards about half (which makes me sad). I couldn’t back myself, but I had a friend go in at the $125 level.

You might have some luck talking to Tarol Hunt, he’s a Canadian web comic artist who runs a rather popular D&D comic. And he’s an all around cool guy (for all appearances). He might be willing to give a shout out if he likes it.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, it’s been a slow start, but I think the message is starting to get out there. We’re optimistic. We know it’s a big goal, but it’s an ambitious project with a lot of great talent.

Thanks for the intro to Tarol (I’m addicted to Goblins now), and we really appreciate the good word you’re putting out there for us.

This looks awesome!

I want to back but I reached my limit for kickstarters.
