Honestly man? The video was nothing more than text, almost identical to what you’ve posted here. Some words of advice from someone who’s been building an MMORPG for the last 4 years. Please don’t think you are going to wave the genre title “MMORPG” around and people will believe your hype. You have to put more into your first video than a bunch of text regardless of the game you are promoting; this is multiplied where MMORPGs are concerned. In 4 years, we haven’t released a single video, because everyone needs to see your first video as something monumental, or you will forever be viewed as a joke, especially in forums. I’ve seen it happen to many of my friends and they had at least decent footage of their MMORPGs shown. I love to help MMORPG developers and offer my opinions where I feel it can help, and trust me, you need it right now. This is the earliest and most influential phase of your game’s development, you have to do it right. Also, don’t even begin to think you can rush an MMORPG. These things normally take a minimum of 5-6 years to be completely ready for commercial releases, and then most are still bug enveloped and victims of flame wars. So hold off a bit until you really have something to show the public or else people won’t take you serious. Do some research if you don’t believe me.
