I just picked up Blender and Unity 4 days ago, buts its been a nonstop 4 day marathon of awesome…
My question is this: I want to make a landscape now. Should I do it in Blender and import it, or do it in Unity?
I want to do this right, not the easy way, so I’m figuring that Blender is best… but I want to make sure.
Opinions?
Whichever is easier for you.
I personally make all my terrains in an external app because unity’s default terrain isn’t very good anyway.
thank you… so if you’re still feeling generous: when trying to make a walkable path that goes up a really steep slope, do you do it in the terrain editing (grid with lots of vertices) or do you add that later somehow?
something like the secret stair in the lord of the rings
Many tools around for this too!
