Took me couple of days to create with a help of talented friends and collegues.
Looking into OptiTrack tools to create facial animations and still have to find better shaders for human skin.
I just wanna show people what unity engine is capable of. Hope you enjoy

I get an error when trying to view your link. “Server not found”

Wow, that came out very nicely!

Hm… Dunno whats wrong
Try again later ?

Hay cool I was wondering if you could even do this. Now I know you can (with pretty good results btw) thanks.

looks like u had some issues with the setup taking the laser reading in, seems like the ears and other very internal parts had abit of trouble transferring over to the model, more consistent studio lighting and a big hefty rig to move your laser on, and a steadier person might fix that up. But other than that looks great even for the polycount being so high, would use that 248k version to bake normals onto a 1.2k version and ignore the optimized one altogether.

Always liked the laser scanner rigs, bit of triva for ya, in the film iron man the laser scanner that scans the guy and desighns the shape of the suit is a real 3d laser scanner, they just juiced up the effects onscreen with some fancy cgi, the machine used is real however and works, its used for making action figures, movie props ect in combination with a 3d printer.

Great work keep it up.

Yeah i had to remake the ears as a whole and im not planning on using that optimized model for later usage. Working on the retopology model on topogun. Basicly a proof of concept that you CAN use laserscans effectively
