So the idea was that, i played a lot of spaceship games, but i didnt really understand how gravity work in space - oberth effect, apoapsis, periapsis, when to accelerate, and in what direction
So i made this game. Here everything is smaller, closer, simpler, faster. But the gravity is real. I think i’m really good now, and i need other people to compete against So i made a highscore list, and uploaded the game on kongregate.
it is a little harder at first, so i suggest you read the tutorial carefully!
It is my first game on kongregate, please give me suggestions, and tell me what do you think.
I am planning to implement a career mode later, where you’ll be able to modify your ship, level up, find items, save your status, kill lots of enemies. But i’m not sure about it yet. Maybe it is better as a competitive quick game.
The game is nice, but it will only appeal to physics geeks like me (and you). Actually I was thinking of making such a game for some time.
There are some things that can be changed if you want to appeal to larger audiances. The controls are too meticulous. It should be more easily contollable. Graphics too dark (backgroud stars etc?). One constantly needs to zoom in/out, change time scale etc. And the microscopic enemies are not a good idea I guess.
Thanks! Maybe i’ll just put in different zoom and speed levels. Or automatic zoom in when you are close to planets and an indicator of the other planets so you know where they are even when you are zoomed in. And i’ll find a nice background then
