Learning to create my own graphics

Well, the title says it all really. Is there any good (preferably FREE) tutorials online that teach creating your own graphics? I am particularly interested in 2D pixel art.

Thank you.

Well, if you want to learn the 2d pixel art and you want free (assuming software, tutorials) then I would look into paint.net or gimp

gimp :

maybe
paint.net : a quick search on google for paint.net tutorials

Hmm, ok I’ll check it out, thanks!

If you are passably good a drawing, it is best to use a Graphics Pad and not a mouse to do your graphics. These don’t come cheap although eBay or Amazon.com may have some in your price range. Even newegg.com or tigerdirect.com.

Good graphics editor is next, but to be good, you have to know all the tools, what they are for, where they are, etc… Tutorials are your best friend when using them. Best are the Videos.
