Iv been wondering. Many assets are perfectly creatable in unity Free. Would somehting like a shader generated in shader forge by a user with a free license be usable legally in a pro project intended for release?
As I understand it if someone has pro on the team, then everyone needs to have it.
yes, but how am i to know from an asset int he asset store?
If you’re buying an asset from the asset store, then it’s not been made by someone on your team, so you should be fine I think.
That’s generally the intent of the assets. If you make a shader in a shader tool, the actual shader is yours. The default licence may not be very clear about it, but you should just ask the author if you’re unsure. uScript specifically says you can do whatever you want with scripts generated by it, because they’re standalone.
