Hey guys,
I really need feedback on a golf game (I know, golf = boring to most gamers!). The physics in the game are not great and most effort was actually put in to atmosphere of levels and creating somewhat original ideas. I’d appreciate any feedback on any aspect of the game really. What did you like/dislike? Just a warning, please don’t judge the game on the first two holes. They were pieced together in the early days of development.
Controls:
X - Increase power
Z - Reduce power
H - Hit ball
TAB - change camera (overhead view)
F1 - Driver
F2 - Putter
F3 - Wedge (not needed)
Space - Jump
Arrows - Movement
Goal: Hit the bottom of flag (where a more capable programmer would have placed a hole
)
Notes: There are bugs as it isn’t a finished product.
The ball goes in the direction you are facing. When the ball stops, the player is loaded and they can take the next shot. Maybe avoid using 100% power and hitting the ball off maps as there may not be mesh colliders in on levels. (Sorry!!)
It’s not scripted that you have to be within a certain range of the ball to hit it (testing reasons) so no matter where you are on the map, you can hit the ball and it will go in the direction you are facing ![]()
The last hole (the one with a castle) has no collider on the flag.
Also the driving range is in progress but you can still look around ![]()
