No opinions on the level ?

Not a huge fan of the medieval stuff but I think your tavern looks good

Thank you

Any Opinions?

You’ve set it up nice and it has a somewhat of a flow but it doesn’t feel like somebody has ever been into that tavern. You should try and tell a story straight from the level, for example, mugs on the floor with spilled drinks, broken or fallen chairs, misplaced rugs, a bed that is blocking a door, stuff like that help to make a level more alive and not as a house that is ready to be sold, like putting lore into the level. Think of it like what you would have seen if you were in a tavern like this, proparly drunk people loitering or fighting, so that means lots of rubbish everywhere, chairs out of place maybe turned over tables, crates fallen down, maybe a chair inside the fireplace (who knows with this drunks??). A way I like to do my levels is take it’s areas apart and start a little story for that particular area on what happened, I took this approach on composition from watching Bob Ross painting and it stucked to me since. Just don’t overdo it, you want the place to feel used not bombarded :P. If you were making a very clean and sterile enviroment like a hospital of some sort it would have made sense for everything to be in place

I agree with you! Although when i was creating it, i had a tavern that was cleaned up in mind. Although i do agree with you. Drunken bar fights, and chairs everywhere do add a story to it

As I have 5 years of experience working on the service industry I can assure you there are no clean taverns :stuck_out_tongue: . I’m looking forward to your next level

My next level should be released in a little bit  Been holding off on releasing it for a couple of days.

New Map “Desert Oasis” is now up !

For my new map, i will be creating a Top-Down Dungeon that is highly Detailed. I am going to be using Modular Dungeon pieces already created by the creator of the package.

You have a really nice flow in your level design, I would have added some tents near the lake or some loitering just to show the signs of someone has been there but I’m guessing you only using assets that are included in the packages. The rocks forming a doorway looked cool but felt a little misplaced, because there are no higher mountains or rocks it couldn’t have fall by it’s self so it must be manmade, but the size of it kinda like makes it impossible unless they were giants involved or something, so we are talking about a lot of loitering and garbage stuff around. In case the rock has fallen and has taken that form then it should have a lot of more rocks and debris around. Remember the small details and the little stories I said before make it feel used and alive. Waiting to see the dungeon

I really appriciate your Insight man. Thank you for the compliment. Yeah, im restricting my self to at least 1-2 asset packages per level.
