Level Design Time Lapse

For my weekly update for my game Surrender I decided to do a time lapse of a complete level designed in 2 hours just using Unity. This was a follow on from last week as people seemed to enjoy the time lapsed level design example I thought I’d record the making of a whole level and one that will actually be used in the game

Watch it here!

Thanks for taking the time.

Nice! What do you use for screen capture?

Screenflow on the mac. Easily the best one out there IMHO

Very nice! I wish making levels was as fun and easy as you make it seem here

EDIT:

Btw what was that surf thing you placed at the end? HOW???

thanks mate, its a plane with a script attached that automatically creates a mesh for the shoreline based on the terrain shape. I actually found it here on the forum but I can’t find it now! typical I’ll try and find it in my history in a bit

Thanks! looks great!

btw: Are the explosions from the bootcamp demo?

sure are, this was a really quickly developed game, (4 weeks so far) so have used stock assets where I can get away with it

Thats actually really cool! I think I might do something like this

how do you get the assets from the bootcamp demo?:face_with_spiral_eyes:

Cool video man. I don’t know if I would have the patience to work constantly for two hours, I would either be checking my Facebook or making coffee ><

NESAJeff Unity 3 comes with the source of a cutdown version of the bootcamp demo, I took the explosions from there. If you checked the demo project when you installed it should be on your machine somewhere  probably in a public or shared user folder

The boot camp assets are also available for free in the asset store.

nice work, hope to be that good some day

Nice! - Reminds me of a machinima I made a few years back:-
