Well ugys i know this is a thread u guys are fed up with…i tried searching for my question but i never find a full answer and Unity FAQ is kinda confusing to me…
Bassically…i am almost done with my game that i made, some more tweak and touch up’s and its ready to roll into public…
So now i was wondering, do i need to pay for a licence if i decide to make it commercial.
-i am a student
-used standard free Unity licence
-i have no income whatsoever
As far as i understood i can freely publish my game but i wanted to make sure before i violate some rules of conduct :))
ty guys, and once more sry for disturbing the force with this thread :))
You can use Unity free to release the game no problem.
Thank u very much…this game was created out of a hobby project but end up looking extremely well for 1 man dev team
so i might roll it out in some not that long time :))
Just if anyone cares its a “mini ninja” game with 15 linear lvl’s and a preety cliché story premise :)) modeled assets in blender and ofc assembled in unity <3
Again ty for a reply :))
If your mini-ninja game does make $100 000 then you need to buy a Pro license.
If it revenues 100k ill buy myself AND U a pro licence :))
Good luck with the game release! Don’t forget to polish it well. For games that have similar gameplay/mechanics the ones that stand out are usually the ones that are Polished, consistent and good artwork.
Post it up on the Showcase once it is released.
It deffinately need a good polish…and i have been just finding out some problems with it as i was testion on other machines…so ill hold on to it for some more to make a advertising strategy and to clear it off bugs
