Licensing/Activation rules

So I have installed 2.5 on my mac pro and it works great. Most of my authoring will take place there. However I do go on the road a few weekends a year and would like to work on my windows laptop. I own a Unity Pro license. Can I install and activate it on my windows laptop and have it on my desktop as well? Or would I have to uninstall on one to use it on my other machine? I really would only be using one copy at a time since while at home I would never prefer a laptop over a mac pro.

I understand either way, it would just be nice to have the ability to use it in two locations as long as only one is running at a time.

Please read through the FAQ at the top of the Support Section.

I did. I don’t suppose you can point to where on there that information is. It all looks like technical FAQ stuff.

It’s in there about a third of the way down

Q) How many computers can I use with my license?
A) Unity can be activated on up to two machines per user. This is for a desktop/notebook, home/work computers, or a mac/pc configuration.

Thanks. Its 7am. Quaternions are ok at this hour, but not basic web usage 101.

DOOOOH! That’s why. You meant the support section of the FOURM. I thought you meant the support section on the Unity web site. I knew I wasn’t crazy when I didn’t see a FAQ section on the site.

Thanks!

Sorry, my fault there… should’ve specified that better
