HI I have a problem with light bleeding from one room into another. I have attached a screenshot from within the Unity Editor.
The setup is quite simple really just a point source light in the far room, you can see that the bed is casting shadows (just).
But the light is bleeding through into the nearest room?? Walls and ceiling are a bought prefab (single mesh). There is no gap between the floor and the end wall, if I raise the floor (which is a Quad BTW) I still get the light bleed.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Ian
@uglymug, please tell me if you managed to find a fix for this problem?
I am also having the same issues in all the rooms in my house, if i turn on any light in any room it leaks into another room either next to it or below or above it.
How can i stop the light from lighting the other rooms?
What kind of light is that? can you show us the inspector for the light component?
also, you might want to read this forum post: https://forum.unity3d.com/threads/realtime-gi-passes-through-walls.356931/
You’ll need to have the tangent wall that the bleeding is coming out from intersecting (slightly inside) the wall it’s adjacent to ever so slightly or it’s not “water tight” as I’ve been told. I had the same problem.
