Light bleeding through wall to floor

Somehow this light is bleeding through a wall to the floor in the next room. I’ve enabled soft shadows on the light and all surfaces are checked to receive shadows. Why could this be happening?

The way realtime lights are calculated is different to baked lights. Baked lights properly ray-trace each light source to calculate the exact amount of light each surface gets. Realtime (and mixed) lights don’t have the time to do this, and use some approximate calculations to display their light. This may cause them to bleed through walls.


Either reduce the strength of your light, elevate your walls, or increase the strength of your shadows (in the directional light properties), which should obscure any bleeding light. (Disclaimer: I’m not an expert at light but these are some workarounds that I’ve had to use in the past). @ayockel90
