[Story]
Alien Abductee puts you into the shoes of well you guessed it an Alien Abductee named [Markus] who doesn’t even know he’s been abducted his entire life as his memory is wiped every time. But this time, Markus takes a stand against the Alien who’s been constantly abducting him and perhaps other people, to finally put an end to the terror he and perhaps others have faced. Markus realizes quickly however, nothing is what it appears, which makes you wonder, has there ever been freewill to any of us? Or are we the ongoing experiment every day of our lives?

Are you ready to be abducted?

[Any questions please feel free to ask]
Hope you all like what I’m making!

Hey @N1warhead_1 - I like the concept and the eerie sound fx.

Not too keen on the 30 seconds of build up, showing the titles. I think all that information could be displayed in roughly 5 seconds.

The camera work could improve with some editing. Long continuous camera cuts with wide rotations rarely look good unless they are choreographed perfectly.
I think making the opening look like the guy is blinking and his eyes are blurry would look interesting, then he focuses on the clock for just a split second before closing his eyes again.
Then another camera cut with maybe a noise to have him open his eyes again, then the lights shine brightly through the windows. Already oriented towards the windows without the big camera rotation.
I’m not sure what would make the last part look better, but it really doesn’t read that well, with the rotating around like he is being abducted. Maybe a bright light shining down upon him as he starts to ascend and fades to white.

Adding some curtains to the room that get blown aside when the lights blast through the windows would be real cool looking.

Keep it up - I like the concept.

Thanks buddy, yeah I was planning on doing more/different stuff to it. Just figured I’d at least get the concept to people out there lol.

I will be making some nice changes here soon!
I like the curtain idea, I was planning on doing like forgot the name of the movie, but everything in the room starts to levitate as well,. Or at least certain things, don’t want to levitate the bed or else it will hardly look like your even levitating lol.

Suggest watching The Fourth Kind and also Fire In The Sky.
Those two still kind of freak me out when it’s dark and everybody else is asleep.
Yeah getting the concept out there is good for getting different perspective on things. I’m definitely doing that as soon as I get a solid concept cooked up.

I was also thinking - would it break the feel your are going for to show a out of body shot of the player character being beamed up? Similar to this terrible quick thumbnail.

Anticipating your next update.

Seen both of them, love both movies!
Wow you can read my mind haha, I was actually thinking of doing that to next update version. I’m thinking of making the camera come from like a Camera recording you while you are sleeping.  .

But remember this game is gonna be like Alien Isolation.

I’ll have the greys (which would be like the machine people) and I’ll have some kinda beast that will be like a security system (which would be like the killer Alien on Alien Isolation).
Both of which will obviously kill you, but I gotta have some kinda scariness to the game, I sat for awhile like man, how can I make a game trying to survive the greys really that scary? The scariest thing about Greys is the surgical procedures or taking your will away from you. Aside from that, no nasty scary teeth that will rip you to pieces haha.

Looks good. I agree the more subtle textured texture looks a lot better.
I’m not sure where this is heading entirely, but it looks like color variation could play a role in the Greys hierarchy. That might be interesting.
The mesh looks slightly blobbie but - one of the great things about aliens is - we know not how they look - for reals.

Visually some SSS effect would be very cool looking on that character.

Yeah I believe it does too, I re-watched Fire in the sky for some ideas, and figured the lightish skin would look better.
I couldn’t figure out how to get the texture detail too look rough like the Alien(s) in fire in the sky.
Didn’t want to copy it exactly, as I still want my own alien not theres lol. But the re-watching the movie gave me more ideas .

What exactly do you mean by the hierarchy of the Alien?

Well originally I was thinking of making them smooth like you normally see on photos and stuff, but again, fire in the sky gave me ideas to make it look rougher. Heck even my Spaceship is gonna partially look like it does on the movie, I watched it over and over again (at least the space scenes) and couldn’t come up with any better assumption than the spaceship looking like freaking ROCKS! Maybe if you youtube it and watch it, you’ll notice the same thing, I couldn’t think of any metallic surface that (looks rough like rocks, bendy like rocks, the color of rocks, holes in rocks, etc).

Yeah I’m exactly happy with the standard shader for the type of Skin the Alien has, I may try and make my own here soon. Not sure yet. Hate spending money, rather make something my self lol. It’s how I learned how to code in Unity, Just figured things out the hard way lol.

Like class structure - The most grey Grey is the head alien, while the reddish Greys are the body collectors, and maybe the bluish Greys are the torturers (scientists).

Ohhh okay.
Well not sure if I really want to call them Greys, the name is so overused, at least naming it something different gives me an excuse to make the Alien look exactly as I want it too, not based off factual accounts of said seen aliens lol.

Hey warhead - any progress on this?
Im on my phone now so its a little pain to double check but I think you were working on a asset store asset right?
Interested in seeing any progress youve made.

Yup yup working on like 3 or 4 of them right now.
Also working on like 3 or 4 different games too.
Keeping my self busy, I like to work on one thing for like a week, jump to another for a week, etc. That way I don’t get burnt out on anything.

But the thing for asset store, the first version of it, I had just submitted to Asset Store yesterday.

That’s the thread for it if you want to check it out.

But for this game, I still have quite a bit to do.
Been making different starting scenes trying to find the right scenario how I want the story to go.
E.G - Camping with whole family, family gets abducted as well (to bring a good story).
Or do I just want it based off my character. These are the joys I like with having no set story, gives me the freedom to make the decisions I truly will be better than what someone just writes down. Hate being locked into anything.

I did start on the spaceship start scene as well. But something is wrong with the light mapping in current Unities, they just go straight black. Don’t remember what was the good version of Unity that didn’t mess lightmapping up lol. So I may start the spaceship stuff over here soon.

@theANMATOR2b - Here’s an image of the chamber you wake up in. (Not a fishined product - it could completely change). But figured I’d show something to keep interest going lol. I love the lights at the top. Looks so cool. (0 gravity in that room too).

Cool - It looks like some probing is getting ready to commence. Erie!

Oh yeah, forgot about that place. Here’s an image of that :p.

Just a test drill thing, was just trying something. But I think the environment looks pretty cool

The visuals are freaking me out. The chamber and the drill are super spooky. You’ve done well in setting the mood so far.

Hehe  . Wait till you see my next update.

My main inspiration and design feedback is from the movie Fire in the sky. (great movie btw).
But, I noticed, if you watch or seen the movie the spaceship looks like a cave system. So that’s how this is gonna be made.

Unfortunately that movie didn’t have much spaceship scene(s). Maybe 5 minutes of the entire movie.
So a lot is going to be off my wild imagination.

But I’m glad you’re liking the visuals so far

The Abductee has made it into the top 100 on IndieDB!
Help make this game even better by showing your support and bringing us to the #1!

Game has been getting extremely revamped past few weeks!
(made 3 ALien models - but I have chosen the one I liked the most).

And much more, which will be featured in a trailer.
But I had put the new photos up top and cleared out old ugly photos.

But I’ll post photos here as well!

I have now got a website created!
Check it out, and if you would like to be a part of the community please sign up!

Here is just a little screenshot from inside the UFO.
I don’t really wanna show much more than this as the Trailer will be coming soon hopefully. But the spaceship is a Cavern like Metallic surface. I’ve spent a week just tweaking settings for just the main Material haha. Now has flowing watery like slime on the surfaces, etc.
