Light maps with normal maps?

Hello guyz, since i m new around :wink: i m full of questions but the very 1st is that i wanna see if theres anything i can do about the process of the use of Lightmaps and Normal maps??!
Because so far when i bake my scene i loose the illusion of the normal map! the specific model is a prefab ground block with correct uvs etc.

the best info i found to date on lightmapping is inside a book called unity3x game developement essentials. they have a great walk thou on lightmapping.
