Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to help me out or give me insight. For some reason if I change nothing but the company and product name in PlayerSettings, my in-game lighting is suddenly very bright and makes everything look overexposed. I have tried adjusting my pixel light count already and am playing with some other settings, but I’m trying to figure out what other setting is suddenly being applied that’s changing my lighting when all I’ve touched is the name of the game (and I have repeated the issue using a project backup to rule out external causes).
I was hoping someone else might have run into this before. If I fix the issue I will post the solution here. I am experimenting at the moment.
I have a backup to revert to, and in the past I remember fixing the lighting by resetting PlayerSettings and simply leaving the name and other things alone, so I’m going to try some other things and see if I can find the root of the problem. Thanks for any help, ideas, or pointers. I’m posting here since I’m thinking there’s a possibility it may be vr-related. I am using Unity 2017.3.Of3 with the SteamVR plugin if it’s helpful. Edit: Currently just creating a fresh project with an updated name to see if that effectively solves the problem.
