Just wondering how to eliminate lightmap banding in the standalone unity editor? I thought the issues were related to the light map decompression, but even when the map is set to fully uncompressed “True Color”, it still creates banding. I think its something with beast as when looking at the light maps up close, banding can be seen. Anyone know what this may be caused by? Why would beast be generating files with fewer than 24 bits of color? Thanks for any help!
Alright, I’ve come to the conclusion that the issue is simply color banding. Just wondering, is there a solution to this using photoshop or something? I was researching the issue and it seems some noise can be added to eliminate the effect? I was tried to do this in photoshop, but it seems I cannot edit the HDR image in many ways. Are there any other solutions people know of?
