Lightmapping / Texture baking

Is it better to use Beast to produce lightmaps or to bake your textures in 3D Max?

I haven´t use 3DMax to bake, but if you are using Unity Pro, then i can think Beast is best since you can bake terrains too all into one bake time…

Sorry I should have said that my scenes are of an architectural nature e.g. a single building on a site.

The site is normally modelled in the same file as the building, so baking everything in MAX isn’t a problem.

I just wonder if there is a clear advantage to one over the other?
