lightmaps - bake selected

Sorry if this has been answered previously in the forum somewhere, but how do i i ‘bake selected objects’ without Unity dumping all of the previously baked lightmaps? is this possible?

your lightmap gets saved in the scene folder, you can put those manually on the objects, this is tedious and it is advised to bake the whole scene at once or do it in a 3d editing program.

someone wrote a little editor extension to handle this.

but by default, bake selected = I bake this, forget that you had something

if you seek efficient lightmap space usage, bake selected might not be optimal actually.
