Lights baking backwards

Hello, well first i’ll explain - I never bake lights as I’m generally doing dynamic day/night outdoor environments for PC. Well i’ll be getting my Quest 2 in the mail soon so I’m finally starting to bake lights again.

But I’m noticing some very odd behavior. On one side of my mesh the lights are baking the proper direction, on the other side they are reversed for some reason. Let me show you.

[Seems pretty accurate right?]

Now look at this (just on the other side of the mesh).

It’s almost as if one side of the mesh is going in reverse for some reason and I just cannot find a reason behind it.

I’m in URP 10.2.2. Unity 2020.2.1f1.
(I didn’t see a lighting forum) so I just came to URP as it could be a URP bug maybe? That or i’m an idiot lol.

Make sure your mesh lightmap uvs are correctly generated.

If you created that object using probuilder, google “probuilder lightmap” and you will find similar issues.

I guess this is not a urp’s problem. Maybe people in the world building thread know more about this.

I just figured it out, you reminded me there was a generate light maps toggle on the FBX file when you said that, everything works now  Thank you  It’s just been so long sense I’ve done any lightmap stuff I forgot about that toggle.

That’s good to hear;)

@hippocoder you are free to delete this thread as it actually wasn’t related to URP at all. Just my forgetfulness that there was a lightmap toggle on the FBX file.
