Lights shining "through" some materials

Not sure if this is a bug. Currently using HDRP 14.0.8, Unity 2022.3.4f1. Some materials, such as this metal material (on the left), as well as the default white material (on the right door), seem to show the light behind as a kind of streak. Other materials though, such as the brick, block the light just fine.

Any ideas on what the cause may be? How should I stop this from happening?

Edit: This only seems to happen on the “Balanced” and “Performant” graphics quality. The “High fidelity” quality does not have this issue. Let me know if any other information such as global volume overrides are needed.

(I can’t show the high fidelity as new users can only put one media in a post)

A very bad solution I’ve stumbled upon is simply rotating the offending objects upside down. Somehow this fixes the lighting issue, and the weird glare is hidden. However, the vertices need to be rotated so the mesh doesn’t appear rotated. I have no idea why this works.
