Background
I’v been developing with Unity for about 2 years and I must say it’s been great software!
Unity brings the best industry standards to desktop computers, which I think, is an amazing
feat. While Unity is a great piece of software, I have always relied on other peoples tools to
help me get to where I am. It’s a fair point to say that I wouldn’t be as good at Unity as I am
if it wasn’t for you guys on the forum, you are the best support anybody could ask for!
While I have used Unity for 2 years, I’m still learning new things about the engine every day.
Probably the hardest obstacles to climb when first using Unity is getting used to the engine.
If you’re a budding game developer, programmer or just want to make a game, you need a
decent set of tools to create that AAA game you’ve got in the back of your mind. While Unity can’t
listen to your ideas and create the game for you, there are certain tool-sets that help cut
development time down by a great deal. Here I’m offering you guys a small script that should
help you with lighting a lot. It’s basically a light flickering script, but it has extra details.
Range levels, spot angles and flickering levels are all randomly generated, making it a more
realistic scenario. Lights in real life aren’t exact? Are they?
LightShow comes with 6 prefabs;
- Spotlight
- Spotlight Flickering
- Directional Light
- Directional Light Flickering
- Point Light
- Point Light Flickering
Each prefab is pre-made to suit the best of conditions.
I’ll be releasing the script later, anybody who wants the script just post a comment below and
I’ll send you a download link!

UPDATE - Just finished the script now [8:51 GMT] , will release it when I get back from work [3:15 GMT]
