Lightwave/IK Booster baked IK madness

Our animator’s been using IK Booster in combination with Lightwave 9.5b to put together some simple test animations, and it all seems to work great in Lightwave, but as soon as it’s exported to Unity things fall apart… sort of.

If there’s only one keyframe, the animation executes and loops fine. Any more than one, though, and the bone transforms scale to (nan, nan, nan) and the associated parts of the model essentially disappear.

Has anyone run into this or have any suggestions for exporting baked IK stuff from lightwave that Unity can properly digest?

I’ve experienced the exact same problem. Unfortunately I never was able to resolve it so I just resorted to using FK for everything. It’s not optimal but it is better than missing deadlines due hours of aimless R&D. :frowning:

I’d recommend DStorm’s free Bake IK to Key plugin.
