Lightwave UV maps don't import

I set up all my textures correctly in Lightwave using UV maps which show up perfectly. When exporting either FBX or Collada, even adding surface baker they don’t show up in unity. I have to add that the model I am trying to export contains about 20 individual objects with their own surfaces and UV maps. Do I have to export each object separately, for example the picture frame as a different object to the picture and reassemble it back together in unity? Thank you.

No, you can export everything at once, supposed lightwave can do that.
Why do you think your UV don’t work? Are your textures wrongly attached or do you have no textures at all?
You can put them somewhere in your project and assign them to your models.
