Battle through Europe defeating the Nazi scourge in this action tower defense RPG.
The year is 1945 and with the discovery of element 115 the evil Nazi Scourge has won the great war in Europe.
But with lil’ Sherman leading the fight, all hope is not lost. This elite U.S. Sherman tank, along with the support of the command center, will help take back Europe one country at a time.

This weeks development video shows our progress with enemy AI, spawn points and path finding. We’ve also placed in some Unity 3D water and a particle waterfall for temporary aesthetics.

Update - lil’ Sherman - Dev v0.7
This has been a very busy week for our development team as we are prepare to release our Alpha to testers on 5/11/2019.
Below are just a few of the items we knocked out!

  • Added mission capabilities
  • Updated icons
  • Added and adjusted sound effects
  • Updated various destroy effects
  • Command center takes damage
  • Updated patrol routes for tiger tanksS
  • Slowed lil’ Shermans speed down
  • Added mission indicator to the build area
  • Added various death animations
  • Added walls to world so lil’ Sherman doesn’t fall out :slight_smile:
  • Developed new audio system
  • Added skill tree
  • HQ radar dish now rotates
  • Added rules section
  • Added mini lil’ Sherman to HUD
  • Added cannon cool off and timer icon

Dungeon Defender in tanks. Nice. So far so good.
I know that this is W.I.P. so I won’t judge the art much first.
Just the road grey stone material feels a bit strange.
Maybe use sand material would be better, just my opinion.

Yeah we have to redo a few environment assets! Just getting some core game play ready for the alpha.

Another busy week at Dabster Entertainment, below are a few updates to lil’ Sherman.

  • Updated Tiger Tank model with higher resolution, tank will be textured next dev video
  • Mini-Map currently in development
  • Testing new weapons for lil’ Sherman that will be accessible in the garage
  • Rockets now home in on enemies
  • Artists are currently working to raise resolution of all environment assets
  • Audio mixer implemented with separation of all audio files
  • Minor bug fixes
  • Working on player save slots
  • Began development of the garage upgrade system
  • Added tank tread particle effect

Update for lil’ Sherman.

  • Developed garage upgrade system and used temporary placement art
  • Completed texture map for new Tiger Tank
  • Working on 3rd enemy model
  • Updated controls to support arcade mode
  • Armor library and Engine library now contain the upgrade paths lil’ Sherman can take when upgrading through tiers
  • Added exhaust and dirt particles to lil’ Sherman, temporary until art is finalized
  • Choosing armor and engines affects lil’ Shermans capabilities

Some Saturday concept art of lil’ Sherman, our 1st level the French Alps.

The current game level of lil’ Sherman was a single model, this made it extremely difficult to add content, make changes and expand. We are now redesigning our levels using Unity terrain.
With this powerful tool we can add a multitude of environment content, expand our level and most importantly make all changes within the game engine.

lil’ Sherman is a 3rd person action game that takes place in a stylized WW2/Alt-Universe setting. You play as a Sherman tank commander who must protect the incoming convoy of supplies as they make their way to the command center. lil’ Sherman will have to battle his way through wave after wave of powerful and unique foes, outfit himself with specialized equipment to complete missions and use resources from saved convoys to craft upgrades in the garage.

The gameplay combines RTS, Tower Defense and Action RPG elements.
