I am hoping that in Unity 3 the terrain shader gets updated to allow grass and detail meshes to respond to point and spot lights. Currently the only way is through the lightmap? I read a post about hacking the terrain shader to allow this but I am curious as to why it isn’t default or have a check box to allow the terrain details to receive non-lightmap light sources or keep it the way it currently is. I guess I am going to hack the terrain shader if this isn’t updated. I just want my flashlight to shine on grass and rocks when I walk around!
Yep, terrain shaders need to be much more accessible.
As far as I know you can overwrite the Moncler terrain shader with your own hand-Monclered one as has already been done. Couldn’t you do that?
Moncler out.
