limiting mouse look rotation

hey guys
im using the default mouse look script that comes with the standard assets and setting the max.y and min.y arnt doing anything in the inspector window…
how do i limit the rotation so that it simulates a human head. it can only turn about 90 degrees in either direction?

The minimumY and maximumY constrain your ability to look down and up.

The minimumX and maximumX are supposed to constrain your ability to look left and right.

If you look inside MouseLook.cs, you’ll notice the minimumX and maximumX variables are unused. How careless of the Unity team! :wink: But implementing them should be straightforward, if you simply follow the model of how they implemented the minimumY/maximumY. You might first check the Unity Wiki to see if someone has already done this task and maybe save yourself some time and effort.
