Link to unity built-in shaders is broken. Upload your own copy.

I was trying to download code for built-in shaders but it’s broken. Could someone upload builtin_shaders.zip file on dropbox and share the link with me. I don’t know when it will be fixed so please upload those files if you have them on your computer, thanks.

And this is the link I’ve tried: http://unity3d.com/download_unity/builtin_shaders.zip

You can find them in the asset store, just search for ‘built in shaders’.

Though it looks like all the website tutorials, demos, and other packages have gone. I’m sure all of these used to be under ‘Community’, but now its just the forum, answers, feedback, documents, Unify wiki and unity chat.

A little bit worrying since you were still able to download older version tutorials and packages, plus it didn’t care what version of Unity you had installed. If everything has moved into the asset store then based on previous experiences you are more likely to require the latest version to download them. Not to mention you then have to import them into a project before you can even look at the assets, which in the case of built-in-shaders is what you really want.

Seems like a major step backwards, to me. I would never think to check the asset store for that stuff.

If you don’t mind the previous version 4.0.0f6

Just noticed that Unity have created a new download page to obtain earlier versions of Unity and the built-in shaders for each version.
Worth bookmarking.
