Linux Error: No such file or directory

I have been trying to make a linux build, but can’t get it to run on Ubuntu. When I doubleclick the game icon, nothing happens. If I go into a shell and try to run it from a command line, I get “No such file or directory”.

I have verified that executable permissions are set, tried renaming the file (and data directory), and copied the game to the linux box using a flash drive to rule out network problems.

Anybody know what’s going on here?

Let me rephrase this… is anybody able to build a linux game that runs on Ubuntu? This used to work, until I installed 4.0.

I was trying to run the 32 bit version on my 64 bit OS. Linux rewarded my blunder with an obscure response, but trial and error ruled the day!

I actually thought about mentioning the possibility of a 32/64 bit mismatch, but the error message didn’t seem to be relevant to that. Oh well. :wink:
