Linux newbie with C#

Hi
I’ve watched this:
https://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/dotnet/Get-started-with-VS-Code-Csharp-dotnet-Core-Ubuntu?ocid=player
and wonder how to proceed now.
This outputs a dll? How to use on other machines? Never used c# before. Could I use also C++?
Thanks

Sorry, man… confused about your question. You want to use VS Code?

Can you use C++ for Unity - was that your question? You can create plugins with it.
I think you’ll find it much easier to use C# for most (or all things), though.

Thanks. How to compile with VS code? I make changes to c# files but am not sure how to test/compile those.

Well, are you using this with Unity?
Unity compiles the scripts for you when you’re working on your project.
You can also do a quick search for some tips on integrating VS code for unity a little more completely. I don’t know the instructions off hand, but I’ve seen posts talking about/linking to instructions.

So, once you’ve made changes/written code, save the file and when you’re back in Unity, it should recognize the changes and update.

If you want to practice C# outside of unity, that is another matter. Just look that up online in general
