Linux Unity Editor scene view flashes a gray triangle

I’m using Linux fedora 37 with a Nvidia 3090ti graphics card. I’m also using Unity Editor version 2022.2.11. I’ve kind of just lived with the issue for the past couple of months since most of my development recently has been C# related. Now I’m using the scene view far more and it’s becoming quite distracting and difficult to use the scene view. Anytime I navigate/move around in the scene view this gray triangle constantly flashes. Unity Editor version 2022.2.1 the scene view worked fine, but any version 2022.2.2+ this issue has persisted.

Has anyone come across this issue or know of any potential fixes? I’ve done lots of google searching and searching the forums and haven’t seen any solutions.

Thanks,
tips fedora

Saw this on ubuntu 2020.04 LTS, a supported distro, when testing some editor version(s). So it’s probably a valid bug, I believe there is another thread here on the forum discussing this. Perhaps there is a solution already or bug report filed…

Update: Just tested the current 2022 (2022.2.13) and can’t see the issue, unless there were more steps needed to trigger it. I tried rotating the camera and moving around a little.

I got an AMD GPU, 6900xt and the editor is set to Vulkan

As sfjohannson says: start with ./Unity -force-vulkan
