So, I’m going to share this idea with y’all, and I hope to get some feedback.
The game is in a way a fighting game kind of like Tower Fall for the Ouya, its small scale multiplayer (Will use Unity’s built in system) having probably four players max. The worlds are side scrolling with each level being unique, the player doesn’t control the scrolling rather it is predefined at a speed, the basic game will come with one level and the rest of the levels are unlockable for $0.99 (single IAP)
The gameplay focuses on making your way through the world in order to use as little lives as possible, the player who has the least of their lives taken, and most of other peoples lives(Talk about this in a sec) wins, players can jump on others heads to kill them but can also use lives to kill others by using a life they have taken as a projectile (Like a magic blast thing) this however will have a adverse effect on your score if you miss as that life it will stay in that spot and you lose it (Providing someone else takes it first, you can go collect it) but, if you hit someone you get it instantly back and there life drops on the ground free for people to collect so then you can grab it. A twist in the gameplay is that when a life if shot at you by clicking fast enough you can grab it, then you get the life and the person who shot it dies, and there life falls on the ground(They lose two lives, one instantly and one is dropped)
What are your thoughts on this game idea? I’m going to do a prototype next month and am hoping I can finish it and release it by february next year or earlier(Full time development) I think the games simplicity and complexness in the decision of a player weather to shoot or not it a great element and would be pretty fun, as well as some cool worlds it should be a blast. What you think of the idea, did it make sense? Did you like it, and did you find any holes in the gameplay?
Thanks
