I wanted to take a look at the feature set of the Pro license and noticed that there are also licenses for different platforms like the iOS, Android and so on.
I looked those licenses, too, and they have the same identical feature set as just “Unity Pro”.
So now I am confused.
If I were to buy a license for “Unity Pro”, would I not be able to build for iOS and Android platforms? Must I also purchase a platform-specific license for that? And what does just “Unity Pro” give me then, only web and stand-alone Win/Mac/Linux?

Yep, so if you wanted to deploy to iOS (using a Pro license) you’d need to purchase Unity Pro + iOS Pro.
Web, Stand-Alone Win/Mac/Linux, Windows Phone 8, as well as Windows Store deployment.
The above isn’t correct at all. You can buy Unity Pro, and nothing else, and still publish to iOS etc. with no problem. The thing is you will not have any iOS Pro features unless you buy the iOS Pro license, same for Android. Also note that you can’t just buy iOS Pro on its own, it’s an add-on to Unity Pro. There’s still some benefit to buying Unity Pro without an iOS Pro license even if you only do iOS publishing, such as being able to use the editor profiler, some enhancements to Beast lightmapping (since those are baked into a texture, not having an iOS Pro license can’t somehow just take them away), etc.

Could you please clarify one more thing, Eric? You say that I will not have iOS pro features unless I purchase the iOS pro license. What features exactly are we talking about?
