I am developing a game for iOS for the last months. I am using local notifications (not remote/push notifications). Since yesterday they stopped working. Xcode’s console is printing the following error:

ERRORError registering for Apple push notifications. Error: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=3000 “no valid ‘aps-environment’ entitlement string found for application” UserInfo=0x17107fb00 {NSLocalizedDescription=no valid ‘aps-environment’ entitlement string found for application}

I googled that error and have found out that it is connected to the provisioning profile. Correct me if I am wrong but I don’t need “Push Notifications” enabled in my App Id for local notifications?!

This is my code:

NotificationServices.RegisterForNotifications(
NotificationType.Alert |
NotificationType.Badge |
NotificationType.Sound);

NotificationServices.CancelAllLocalNotifications();

var test = new LocalNotification();
test.fireDate = DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(2);
test.alertAction = “Hello”;
test.alertBody = “Test!”;

NotificationServices.ScheduleLocalNotification(test);

Anyone a clue on how to solve that?

Remove the first line of code:

NotificationServices.RegisterForNotifications

You don’t need it if you use only local notifications.
