Log file directories

When you encounter an issue with Pixyz software and need to contact technical support, it’s helpful to provide the log files to help diagnose the issue. Here’s how you can find the log files for each respective software within the Pixyz family:

For Pixyz Products:

  • Open Windows File Explorer.
  • In the address bar, type %AppData%/PiXYZproduct and press Enter.
  • Locate the lastSession.log file in the folder that opens.

Once you have located the log files, you can attach them to your support request (technical support form). This will help the team to better understand the issue you are experiencing and provide a more accurate solution.

Note that in Pixyz Plugin 3.0 log is now next to Editor.log.

Hi, where are the log files in case of Linux or Docker installations?

For Pixyz SDK:

  • Windows: %APPDATA%/PixyzSDK/
  • Docker/Linux: ~/PixyzSDK/

We’ll add a new “debugging and diagnostics” section in the SDK documentation with the correct paths (similar to what the Editor documentation has)
