Japan has very original, if not silly, game show ideas. They’re all pretty much the same format… but usually hilarity insues. I saw one that invovled bowling and roulette. So the lane went out over the giant wheel and yeah.
This show is also very very very funny:
The basic premis is that six people sit down in a library set and have to be quiet. The game goes in rounds. For each round, six cards are dealt onto the table - one is marked with a skull. There is a flip chart that list some sort of horrible thing that happens to a person who draws the marked card from each round. And they have to stay quiet as the punishment is exacted. This is probably the best episode I’ve seen, but if you search for “silent library” on YouTube, there are more.
