I know there are other threads on this, but the advice I’ve seen has either not worked or been over my head. I just started working with Unity last week. I have some experience with Godot, but decided to learn Unity to be able to work with more teams.
Whenever I edit and save a script in VS, when I switch back to Unity it takes about 10 seconds or longer to refresh. The loading window comes up with Compiling C# scripts, then Reload Script Assemblies, and several others. As I mentioned, I am brand new to Unity, and my projects are VERY simple right now, just following along with tutorials. Most of the threads I’ve seen on this topic are related to large projects that were imported from previous versions of Unity, which is not my situation. Right now I’m using 2020.2.6f1, but I’ve tried older versions and the same thing happens. I’m hoping there is a quick setting I need to change that will fix this, because I am learning C# and make a lot of mistakes, so waiting 10 seconds every time I make a tiny change is pretty frustrating!
Thank you in advance for your patience with a lowly noob such as myself.
