Hey guys.
I don’t even know if this is the right place to post this, if so, my applozies.
I am absolutely in love with;
Unity Asset Store - The Best Assets for Game Making - Dreamscapes
But as I am making a mmorpg it I need either base or a character I can make into base that would look good with this asset. Anyone you know of?
I would love to hear any recommidations.
Regards:
Awexo - Zanaj.
Personally I think UMA 2.0 in the asset store would look super with that asset. UMA is free as is a few very nice UMA clothing back add-ons.
I’m gonna be that guy
You’re probably better off not spending your money because you wont be able to make an MMORPG, especially not by buying bits and pieces
And I’ll say buy it because you’ll still need a nice set of environments after you realized you MMORPG is beyond you resource and skill level. And to try the MMORPG anyway.
This is a good point. The art isn’t limited to an MMORPG so even if OP doesn’t follow through with that project, they can easily re-purpose it for something else.
That is true, but given they’re still in the MMO stage do you think they’ll be able to create an actual game with assets like that in it?
You know what? Let them try.
Constant MMO thread bashing is getting annoying.
Ask the guy who made the asset to make you a custom asset
So stop doing it!
I"ve changed my opinion in the time between those posts. Also, I never said “it is impossible” even in the post you quoted.
Fair enough, each to their own opinion. I just think they shouldn’t really be spending money on something before seeing if they can do a fraction of what is required
Thanks for all the answers. Yes, I know the undertaking of an MMO, thats not it.
I am glad of the concern and no offensive were taken by any comment.
QFSW mentioned that you cannot make an MMO by piecing bricks togther, however, I will have to disagree there. Yes, it is hard to puzzle pieces togther to make appealing aesthetics but that is the reason if theres any asset in same style.
I have to disagree with you to an extent. You could think of it as bricks, but you still need to be able to make the cement. Its possible to make one mostly from assets but you will still have to be experiences and knowledgable to actually stitch it all together into a game
