Hey guys i am reaching out to the community to help me a bit. I am in search for a quality plug in that will allow me to do a “materialization” effect. The best way i can describe it is where a “scanner” scans a person and the resulting “copy” of that person is "materialized on table or another container strip by strip in a circular fashion starting at the head til the full body is complete. Is there any shader plug ins that can do that? i would really appreciate any assistance you all can muster.

I’m not aware of any specific plugin. I think the usual technique is to just do some fancy visual effect on top of increasing the alpha of the object, so it fades in behind the visual effect. This would obviously not be a circular strip by strip effect that you want though.

Sounds just like a dissolve shader except you’d reverse the time. There’s a bunch of those on the asset store.
